A Childhood Immersed in Art
Born in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Ulrike was immersed in art—both visual arts and music—from her earliest childhood. With a mother who was a sculptor and a father who was an organist and piano teacher, she was sensitized to every form of artistic expression.
Training and Multidisciplinary Background
Ulrike was trained in the transverse flute and practiced ballet and jazz dance. Her academic and technical background is extensive:
- Private sculpture lessons with Rolf Binder in Duisburg.
- Studies in graphic design and textile design in Krefeld and Hanover.
- Awarded a Degree in Design (Diplom-Designer).
Artistic Approach
Since then, she has brought her ideas to life through graphic design, painting, and sculpture. Her primary interest lies in the metamorphosis and transformation of natural objects that she observes.
Life and Studio
For a long period in Northern Germany, she worked in her own studio while raising her three children with her husband. In 1998, she moved to Provence, where she continues to work in close harmony with nature.
